Hayago Doran or Douran (ammo belt box) are teppo (Japanese iron matchlock rifle) ammo or cartage box which were used by both Samurai and Ashigaru teppo tai (teppo gunners or rifle men). The hayago douran are typically made from leather and are carried on the right hip of the teppo gunner. The doran would typically hold between 8 to 14 hayago (quick loading tubes) as well as other essential items for shooting.
Iron Mountain Armory crafts their hayago doran from durable leather to ensure the case holds its form to fit up to 12 hayago securely in place with some extra room for a cloth and/or hinawa (match cord / fuse) or “Fire Rope” 火縄. Each case is hand made and sewn for a traditional look, feel and quality. The hayago douran is offered in both black or brown leather.

I ordered a number of custom Doran more in keeping with the style used by our school. The process ran smoothly with regular updates on the progress. The final product was without fault.
