Yoroi Bitsu Mon

Choose to add Samurai or Custom Mon (symbol) to your Yoroi Bitsu (armor box). Custom Mon's needs to be e-mailed to us in a mono-color, “Clip-Art” format.(Click through the product images to see different Standard Mon Options.)

Kabuto Options

Select these options to further customize your Kabuto (helmet).

Fukigaeshi Mon

Add a symbol (mon) to the ears (fukigaeshi) of your helmet. This can be a standard mon or custom design you can email us in "Clip-Art" format. (Click through the product images to see different Standard Mon Options.)

Horn Options

Use this option to add Dear Antlers, Water Buffalo Horns, Wooden Horns or Waki-Date (Flat Wooden Horns) to your kabuto.

Ring Option

Add RING and KNOT to the back of your Kabuto

Visor Option

Customize the visor of your helmet with embosed eyebrows and/or wrinkles.

Menpo Style

Select your choice of face armor available for your yoroi. Standard Menpo option will give you the mustache option, while Hoate will give you a goatee option.

Mustache Style

Add character to your armor by selecting a custom mustache option.(This option is only available with certain mask / nose styles.)

Chest Options

Select from the following options to further customize your Do (chest armor).

Dō Mon

Select the Mon (symbol) to be painted on the front of your Dō (chest plate).(Option Not Available with Suna finish)

Dō Chest Ring

Select to add 1 or 2 Chest Rings (Saihai no kan & Tenugui no kan) to your Dō, used to display tassels or hold a saihai or gunbai. (Select option from the perspective of wearing the armor)

Please Note: Select the option as if you are wearing the armor (Left / Right) (Includes Tassels)

Add Brass Fittings

Add Fittings to the chest only and/or to the Sode (Shoulders) and back including red ropes & tassels.

Agemaki no Kan

These help keep your sode in place.
Recommended if using armor for any combat training.

Dō Holding Rings

Add 1 or 2 WAIST RINGS (holding rings) to either side of your Dō (chest plate), used to hold bags, tie a weapon, Gunbai and/or your Sarashi in place. We recommend adding both if you are training in your armor. (Select option from the perspective of wearing the armor)

Kusazuri Option

This option offers to make your kuzazuri (skirt plate) detachable / interchangeable. Commonly used in the past for fast repair / replacement of the kuzazuri, or removable for fast and quiet movement of troops.

Sizing Options

The Sizing Options for your custom samurai armor set.

Chest Size

This option changes the girth size of your Dō (chest armor). While inhaling deeply, have an assistant wrap the tape measure under your armpits around the largest part of your chest. In the back, you want the tape measure to wrap across your shoulder blades. The tape measure should be snug, but not tight.

Please Note: Sizing is for reference only and may not reflect the final product. Please read the FAQs for more details.

Please Note: It is better to select 1 size larger to accommodate under clothing.

Height Options

Adjust the armor to your Height. Standard sizing is 5' 8" (175 CM). Select the option closest to your actual height. If unsure, select 1 size smaller and enter your actual size in the order comments.

Please Note: It is better to select 1 size shorter for better fit.

Weight Options

Please specify YOUR WEIGHT for our armorers to better craft your armor for you.
Please select the option that is the closest to your weight, as this doesn't have to be completely accurate as this is for reference only.

Shikoro Bottom Plate

If you would like to change the color of the BOTTOM PLATE of your Shikoro, you may select it here. If not it will match the option your provided above.(This option should only be chosen if you would like the neck plates to be a different color than those of the main Helmet.)

Tare Bottom Plate

Select the color & finish your Tare Bottom Plate (Suso no ita) will be painted.

Description

Yokohagi Okegawa Kachi Samurai Armor is an economical reproduction of a tosei (post 1550 modern) style yoroi (armor) featuring Yokohagi (horizontal) steel plating in the okegawa (tube side) fashion. This style of armor became common after as the European influence grew in Sengoku era (warring state period) Japan. This particular gusoku (matching samurai armor set) is crafted with kebiki-odoshi (full lace) on the sode (shoulder shields) and gessan (armored skirt). It is pictures above with the hachi goshozan kabuto (victory mountain bowl helmet) with optional prominent byo toji (decorative rivets), giving it a strong, and fearsome appearance, as it had 400+ years ago when samurai warriors wore this style of armor on the battlefield.

The kachi class of armor was the more economical yoroi (armor) worn by the lower class samurai in the Daimyo’s army, but are no less impressive. The renowned armorers at the Iron Mountain Armory will be honored to craft your gendai (modern) Yokohagi Okegawa Kachi Samurai Armor for you using any of the custom options listed. Select your armor’s color / finish, lacing, material, sizing and other options to make your gusoku personal to you. Perfect for an economical yoroi for budo martial arts training, larping, cosplay, and/or decorating your home or dojo. All of our armor is full sized and functional.

The armor set itself is cool. I wish that I had gone with a more traditional color for my armor but I picked what I picked and I’m very, very happy with it. It looks awesome. Thank you guys again for everything.And maybe one day spokennoise I can be inspired by the work of your armors to take up the hobby myself.

Fit perfecly, it’s a piece of art that i love to display and i already used it in a larp even. It hold well hits so far and bring fear on the Battlefield ^^
It weight around 35 pounds and it wasnt tempered
For a entry game armor im really surprise how good it look and feel
