Description

his Kachi Class samurai armor has been hand-forged by our apprentice katchū-shi (Japanese armor smith) in honor of Yamamoto Kansuke (山本 勘助, 1501–1561 A.D.). Kansuke was a Taishō samurai of the Sengoku Period, remembered as one of the famed “Twenty-Four Generals of Takeda Shingen.” Renowned for his loyalty and brilliant strategies, he became immortalized for the victory at the Fourth Battle of Kawanakajima, where Takeda forces triumphed over their great rival, Uesugi Kenshin.

Tragically, Kansuke did not live to see the fruits of his triumph. Believing his strategy had failed and unwilling to face dishonor, he spurred his horse into the enemy ranks, meeting his end in a fearless charge. His sacrifice secured Takeda’s victory and etched his name into the legacy of warriors who gave everything for their lord.

This yoroi is inspired by the armor Kansuke himself wore, featuring a hachi zunari kabuto (helmet) and okegawa dō (barrel-style chest armor). The kabuto is crowned with natural water buffalo horns, symbolizing his indomitable strength and battlefield ferocity. Every plate and lace is crafted to embody his spirit of devotion, courage, and resolve.

When displayed, this armor commands respect and awe. When worn, it awakens the warrior within. This is one of our most admired samurai armor sets—an enduring tribute to Kansuke’s valor. Also available in Gashira and Taishō Class.

Honor the memory of Kansuke, wear his spirit with pride.
