Description
Ukebari (浮張) is the Japanese term for the linen liner used inside the kabuto (helmet). They are often made from asa (hemp) or aya (cotton) linen. This is an important feature for the helmets as it not only makes the kabuto more comfortable, but creates a gap between the metal plating and the warrior’s head. It then works to absorb sweat, keep the head cool and more importantly help absorb any shock caused by strikes. Ukebari were often bathed with incense to keep them smelling fresh. They eventually needed to be replaced as they become soiled or damaged. This traditional helmet liner by Iron Mountain Armory will fit any of our or other reproduction kabuto and even most antique kabuto. Perfect for replacing worn liners, or for a DIY project. Our ukebari are made traditionally, using blue asa linen and are hand sewn.

Everything came as I expected, though some of the attach points and other details that could be helpful in fitting this to my helmet would be useful, I certainly dont expect it
