From time to time we have an armorer wanting to advance from a Kachi to Gashira crafter. For this advancement they are tested by making complete samurai armor sets to demonstrate their skills. This particular samurai yoroi is the result of one of our armorer’s hard work. This custom samurai armor set is a hybrid of a Kachi and Gashira set. It is crafted with a traditional Okegawa Ni-Mai Do design with Hachi Goshozan kabuto. It incorporates Gashira class menpo (mask), kote (armored sleeves), suneate (shin guards), art silk, as well as grommets to support sections of odoshi. This particular suit has a new “mold” style Do to simulate the smooth urushi finish between plates. This is a great opportunity to purchase a nice quality samurai armor set at a great price.
The kabuto hachi, tare, kusuzari and sode are painted with black uzumaki which compliments the main flat black paint. The gold odoshi adds a nice regal feel to this samurai armor set. It is sized to fit a 104 to 109 cm chest, but can open to a simple Ni-Mai Do (2 section cuirass) to accommodate slightly larger or smaller chest sizes. This armor set comes as seen and also includes the deluxe yoroi bitsu (samurai armor storage / display box) and stand. This suit is in stock and will ship in about 3 to 5 days from date of payment.
Please Note: This suit was crafted by one of our Kachi crafters who wants to advance to Gashira class, so we are selling it as a Kachi class suit but have some Gashira class features mentioned above.
