Description
The traditional crafting of this Kiritsuke Iyo-zane Taisho class samurai armor set takes over 30 days of meticulous focus and labor, to accurately reproduce this“tosei” gusoku mimicking the classical “kozane” gusoku. An elegant tosei design like this one utilizes simulated scale plates, that are laced together to form a 2 piece chest armor. It is then bound together using a pin-hinge, known as an Okegawa do. This style of Kiritsuke Iyo-zane yoroi was one of the most common armors used by high-ranking samurai warriors and Daimyo alike.
Our Taisho katchû-shi will focus on quality over quantity, and much like the original katchû-shi, they will not jeopardize their reputation by crafting inferior quality armor. They are happy to take on new challenges by customizing every detail of your Kiritsuke Iyo-zane armor to your specification. Every piece of armor they craft is as traditional in nature, as reasonably possible. Please click here for more details.
