Former Display Model – As New – Sold As Seen.
This brilliant samurai armor is crafted by our senior Gashira katchû-shi (Japanese armor smith) at the Iron Mountain Armory to offer you a very well crafted and economical reproduction of the legendary Gusoku worn by Takeda Shingen. This gusoku (matching armor set) is meticulously handcrafted, featuring a hari-bachi helmet covered with real yak hair and egawa (leather with printed patterns). The okegawa do is smoothed and covered with matching egawa, as well as o-sode (large shoulder guards). The kote (armored sleeves), haidate (apron) and wood carved demon crest are also well crafted with great attention to detail. The back of the do features kiritsuke-Kozane (Simulated Narrow Scale) with kebiki-odoshi style lacing (also referred to as “full lacing”). With over 150 man hours needed to craft this gusoku, we believe it is respectable enough, even for the Daimyo Takeda Shingen (The Tiger of Kai) who was known for his martial prowess and prestige on the battlefield in the late Sengoku Period of Feudal Japan. He was one of two of the most vicious Samurai warlords to do battle in Japan.
