D07 – Ujio Samurai Armor

Pre-Set Standard Options

Pre-Set options are selected to craft your armor exactly as seen in the product pictures. Feel free to change the options to customize your armor.

Armor Color

Select the Color & Finish of your Do (cuirass).
Samurai Chest Do Color & Finish Option by Iron Mountain Armory

Main Lace Color

Select the LACE (Odoshi) Color you would like for your armor. (Click through the product images to see different Lace Colors.)

Horns

Use this option to add Dear Antlers, Water Buffalo Horns, Wooden Horns or Waki-Date (Flat Wooden Horns) to your kabuto.

Kabuto Options

Add a Kasa Jirushi no Kan (ring with tassel) to the back of a helmet with an Agemaki Bow (a specially knotted cord).

Fukigaeshi Mon

Add a symbol (mon) to the ears (fukigaeshi) of your helmet. This can be a standard mon or custom design you can email us in "Clip-Art" format. (Click through the product images to see different Standard Mon Options.)

Visor Option

Customize the visor of your helmet with embosed eyebrows and/or wrinkles.

Mustache Style

Add character to your armor by selecting a custom mustache option.(This option is only available with certain mask / nose styles.)

Fukurin Trim

Add a brass trim to the edges of the armor (as seen).

Do Mon

Select the Mon (symbol) to be painted on the front of your Dō (chest plate).(Option Not Available with Suna finish)

Do Holding Rings

Add 1 or 2 WAIST RINGS (holding rings) to either side of your Dō (chest plate), used to hold bags, tie a weapon, Gunbai and/or your Sarashi in place. We recommend adding both if you are training in your armor. (Select option from the perspective of wearing the armor)

Fabric Options

Select the Linen Material or Art. Silk Brocade used for your Armor parts.

Leather Options

Select the Leather Color and/or Egawa (pattern) used of your armor parts. (Haidate (armored apron), Light or Medium Suneate (shin armor))

Suneate Style

Select the style of Suneate (shin armor) you would like for your armor. (Picture is for reference only.)

Knee Material

Select the material color you would like for your knees.

Display Option

Add a Display Stand and Box to your order

Box Mon

Choose to add Samurai or Custom Mon (symbol) to your Yoroi Bitsu (armor box). Custom Mon's needs to be e-mailed to us in a mono-color, “Clip-Art” format.(Click through the product images to see different Standard Mon Options.)

Custom Sizing Options

Standard Sizes are Pre-Selected. Feel free to select different size options to ensure a better fit.

Chest Circumference

This option changes the girth size of your Dō (chest armor). While inhaling deeply, have an assistant wrap the tape measure under your armpits around the largest part of your chest. In the back, you want the tape measure to wrap across your shoulder blades. The tape measure should be snug, but not tight.

Waist Circumference

This option is for the waist circumference of the Dō (chest armor). 5: Place a tape measure on your navel (belly button) and straight around your waist, finishing at your navel. Height Options

Adjust the armor to your Height. Standard sizing is 5' 8" (175 CM). Select the option closest to your actual height. If unsure, select 1 size smaller and enter your actual size in the order comments.

Weight Options

Please select the option that is closest to your weight or next weight level greater, so our armorers can better fit your armor to your body size.

Accessory Options

Add additional pre-selected accessories to your order. For a list of full accessories, please visit our "Accessory" catalog page via the menu.

Description

Ujio Samurai Samurai Armor, masterfully crafted by the finest katchû-shi (Japanese armorer) at the Iron Mountain Armory, who take great pride in every yoroi they create. This yoroi is a reproduction of the last samurai armor worn by the fictional character “Ujio” (Hiroyuki Sanada), in the famous Hollywood production of “The Last Samurai”. Fiercely loyal, Ujio was a fiercely loyal samurai who served under the legendary “Katsumoto”. As trust is always earned and no one earned it more than Ujio. When you earned his trust, he was loyal to his friends even in the face of death. Ujio wore this Uroko (scale) Samurai Armor set in his last stand and was one of the last to die an honorable warriors death in the final conflict.

The Ujio Daimyo samurai armor set is meticulously handcrafted with over 300 individual dragon scale plates using an okegawa do (tube shaped cuirass) design. Keeping true to the movie production, this yoroi set features a momonari kabuto (peach shaped helmet) with raised plating and byo (rivets). The magnificent horns are crafted from wood to ensure exact size, shape and that they are lightweight. We offer the option to have this particular armor set crafted in Steel or Aluminum. Steel of course more robust and weighs about 65 lbs. Aluminum can be dented or scratch if struck or scraped and of course weighs less, at about 15 lbs.

The Daimyo katchû-shi will focus on premium quality over quantity. They will use a mixture of traditional and modern techniques / materials to obtain the most luxurious look and regal feel suited for a Daimyo. Options are pre-selected to duplicate the exact armor design as seen in the product pictures. Be sure to explore the different options if you would like something more custom. Absolutely stunning set, perfectly assembled and fitted. Everyone who enters my home stops and stairs at this piece of artwork for several minutes, talk about the movie and seem to float around the suit admiring it. I am the first big kid on the block with my very own samurai armor set and now friends are starting to order their own!
