Hari Bachi Kabuto (bowl helmet) was crafted by the skilled Gashira katchû-shi (Japanese armor smith) at the Iron Mountain Armory. The Gashira class Hari-bachi is crafted to replicate a traditional multi-plate Suji-bachi Kabuto with raised or flat flanges. It features a flat nanbokuchô mabisashi (flat visor) and large fukigaeshi (turnbacks or ears) common in the Nanboku-chō to Muromachi eras. Simulated hari-bachi are pressed into a bowl shaped helmet, from a single sheet of steel. We apply your choice of copper tubes for raised plate design or thin metal strips to simulate the flat plate design (as seen in the product image). The flat flanges (plate ridges), give a more sleek look and protects the flanges from bending / denting if struck.
This particular Hari-Bachi Kabuto is pictured with the 8 simulated plates with raised rivets, Egawa E1, Black Kawa Fukurin and Kiritsuke-Kozane plating style. You can of course custom design your own kabuto using the many available options on this page. This is a great budget friendly kabuto to honor any Gashira samurai. You can order this Gashira Class Hari Bachi kabuto with your preference of mengu (facial armor), menpo (half face with nose – pictured) with options mustache style or hanbo (lower face).

The armor was missing the moustache, but everything else was top quality.
This Helmet is just wonderful. Good fit, nice workmanship, awesome look. I am very happy with this Helmet.
Great helmet. Very impressed. Keep up the good work!
My friend has the Takeda Shingen helmet from CAS Iberia he purchased last year. They are hard to find now so I purchase this model for a slightly higher price. At first I thought the CAS model looked more ornate and more authentic. But after receiving this model I was very impressed. For the small difference in price the thickness of the iron, the way it is worked together and especially the feel when wearing it is all superior to the CAS model. I am very happy with my purchase.
